E. Alan This clock is simple and dependable. I am purchasing one for another room, but the one I have is still running on the C cell battery installed in January 2011 (5 years). It tells time and is easy to read.

Barbara J Mong It was a little larger than what I wanted but the alarm was nice and loud and that was the big draw on this particular clock. I had to have something I could depend on. Most people do not like the lighted background all the time. i do and this does not, you have to click on the top to see the time if during the night. Don't laugh but I had so much in my suitcase and carry on that I had to leave it behind (for the maid!!) and will probably order another! The price was such that I did not have to be too upset at leaving it behind. Just one of those "problems" when you travel (since I'm not a seasoned traveler!).

D.Davis I bought this for my mom because she was complaining about the alarm clock at Walmart were too complicated to set up. She is very technically challenged and doesn't read English, and I live 4 hours away. She was able to us this straight out the box with no problem.

David A. Jones I had this guy's older cousin for nearly 20 years. It still runs, but the alarm is not reliable any more and the light stopped working.So I got this new one. The alarm is loud enough to reach into my poor hearing ears. The light casts strange shadows when pushed, so sometimes it is difficult to know which is the big hand, but that's no biggie for me.I simply wanted a battery operated alarm clock, and this certainly does the job. And if it lasts as long as the other one did...well, I think it will outlast me this time.jonesey65244
