This is the second clock I ordered; the first was defective and I returned it. The second one works fine, arrived timely, and I have no problems with it.
Amazing product for the price! It's definitely a rubbed bronze finish. I wanted more of a matte black so I just covered the face and spray painted it. I don't plan on using the alarm clock, but it's pretty cool that this style has this feature. I also love that it's a quiet sweep second hand. Just buy it. You can't beat the price! Believe me, I looked! It will add to your decor and will work in any room!
Love this little clock. It’s perfect on our mantle. The black has a little distress to it and isn’t black black like I expected but still works beautifully for what I wanted. This clock doesn’t tick, the seconds hand runs smoothly and quietly.
The Limited Edition Jean Wall Clock Is Unique and Looks Really Good. Clever number design. Clicks.
Third Update: It has been three months and the clock is still running perfect, outside, under a protective awning (it never sees direct rain/snow). It's been below zero and the clock still keeps perfect time. I haven't been able to say this about some outdoor clocks, so I'm very happy with this beautiful timepiece.Second update: It has been two months and the clock is still keeping good time. I have not had to reset anything. As noted below, I have this on a well protected porch, but it will get cold. The clock has faced several nights in the low teens without issue. I'm very happy with this clock.Update: It keeps perfect time! I wanted to update this review as this clock does keep perfect time. It's been up for 12 days, and I made note of when my phone (which keeps time perfectly from the cell tower) switches the minute relative to the second hand on the clock - and after 12 days, it still switches at the exact same second. This clock has not gained or lost even one second after 12 days. I'm very happy about that, as I have a few "quartz movement " clocks I need to adjust almost weekly; I'm glad this isn't one of them.I knew where I wanted to put this clock before I got it, but once I received it, I wanted to put it in several spots, as it really looks neat. The jeans look is made from the thin paper inserts you see on so many clocks these days. but it looks good (at first, I thought it was cardboard backing!). The printing is very nice and the deep blue is beautiful from any distance – even up close – it really does look like denim. The number design is clever – something I’ve never seen before. The numbers (and all text) are printed not on the printed clock face, but on the underside of the glass. Having these numbers subtly float above the hands really is a cool little touch. You don’t even notice it at many distances, but you do notice that even on a brighter day with glare, the numbers are not as impacted by a glare from outside light, you can still easily read the clock. It’s also nice having a glass cover – so many clocks have exposed hands these days. I put mine on a well protected front porch (it will see temperatures, but no rain or snow or direct sun). If it fails due to too cold of temperatures, that will be on me, but if it survives, I’ll update this review. I’ve grown to realize that many outdoor clocks use the same works as indoor clocks and just have a glass cover. This has a nice glass cover. The Limited Edition Jean Wall Clock is NOT a silent clock with a sweeping second hand. It ticks with a jerky movement each second. The listing does not claim it is silent, so I am fine with this and expected it. The tick is no louder than any other clock I have that ticks – if anything, it is less loud, but you will hear it. For me, this did eliminate a bedroom placement. I add this because another commentator stated this model is silent, but mine was not; it has a standard move forward with a jerk once per second that has an audible click. The only minor issue is the rim around the glass did pick up some greying from another source. I didn’t want to damage the clock so I left it (I was uncertain if the finish had rubbed off or a grey substance had rubbed onto the finish). It still looks great – it just gives a weathered appearance to the rim (you can see this around the 1 o’clock position). The clock was shipped without a plastic cover and the box was only behind and on the sides, but it was screwed into the box it came with, so it was protected from most physical damage. I also feel that the rim is a bit lighter in color than in the listing pictures. I feel my pictures accurately represent the color of my clock, so you can compare those to the listing pictures.Overall, a definite recommend! I do absolutely love the look of this clock.
I replaced the clock that my dear grandfather gave me in 1994. It finally decided to go to sleep! So very thankful that I replaced with a similar one. Mahalo's!
