Incorrect Day of Week Display
For some reason with the date set correctly the day of the week is not correct. How can I fix this?
This will happen when the YEAR is not set to the correct year. Many people skip that step when setting the date, so the date and month are displayed correctly, but the day of the week is incorrect.
Follow the date setting instructions carefully, see our emphasis and comments below:
SETTING THE CALENDAR
1. Press the MODE button (located on the back of the clock) twice (do not hold the
mode button) to display the CALENDAR.
Note: The YEAR icon will be shown on the display indicating you are in the year
display mode.
***The calendar displays as 2006 (by default) in the same place as the time is displayed. This 2006 number is the year. Sometimes this is confused for military time (24 hour clock).***
2. Once the year is displayed, HOLD the MODE button for 3 seconds until the number flashes to indicate that now you are in the CALENDAR setting mode.
3. The YEAR digits on the display will begin to flash. Press the UP or DOWN button
to set the YEAR in one year increments. Press the UP or DOWN button as
necessary until the correct year is displayed.
4. Press the MODE button again to exit the YEAR setting and enter the MONTH setting
mode.
5. The MONTH digits on the display will begin to flash. Press the UP or DOWN button
to set the MONTH in one month increments. Press the UP or DOWN button as
necessary until the correct month is displayed
6. Press the MODE button again to exit the MONTH setting and enter the DATE
setting mode.
7. The DATE digits on the display will begin to flash. Intermittently pressing and
releasing the UP or DOWN button to set the DATE in day one increments. Press
the UP or DOWN button as necessary until the correct date is displayed.
Note: The day of the week will automatically set according to the month, date, and
year.
8. Press the MODE button again to exit the calendar setting mode. The clock will
automatically return to the normal time display mode.
Note: If no settings are made within 30 seconds, the clock will automatically return to
the normal time display mode. If this happens, you will need to start the calendar
setting procedure again from step 1.
